Bead Soup Blog Hop-Part 2
Yesterday you saw what I sent my partner Mandi of Craft-o-liscious from California. She lives in San Diego. I love San Diego. I'm hoping my soup will inspire her to get out of her comfort zone and think 'outside' the box a little. Today here is the wonderful soup Mandi sent me. It's Jasper! I love jasper. I've done a little googling, and I think it's Mookite red and yellow Jasper. Isn't it gorgeous? She also sent me some Cherry Quartz, which I love, a Jasper focal, which I think is also Mookite. Then she included some sterling silver beads, some larger beads, and a wonderfuls kidney shaped Sterling Silver clasp. I recently received my Bohemian Inspired Jewelry book by Lorelei Eurto and Erin Siegel and this soup is really leaning towards some of the inspiration I've found in this book. This book is fantastic! You really should get yourself a copy. I also recently won some of Marsha Neal's wonderful silks after participating in her Silk Color Palette challenge and they will definitely be seen in my soup. So stay tuned for the Great Final reveal on August 25th. I'm in the last reveal. The first reveal is going on now. And the 2nd reveal will be shortly. Be sure to check out Lori at Pretty Things for all the Soups. Now on to the pictures. First is my whole soup from Mandi. Isn't it great? Then the Cherry Quartz and finally the Mookite Jasper. I can't wait to get beading!

Bead Soup Blog Party Bead Reveal
Just a peek. Here's the Bead Soup I sent to Loretta Carstensen, who is my BSBP partner.
There was Cherry Quartz, Rhodonite, Hammered copper washers/discs, copper beads, Jasper focal, Handcrafted Fused Glass focal with Green Adventurine glass and Dichroic glass, Handcrafted Copper clasp, some fiber beads and more.
And here's the great Bead Soup Loretta sent me:

Isn't it great? There's Smoky Quartz, Dalmation jasper, Gold filled clasp and spacers, some cute gold seed beads and a Mother of Pearl (I think) bead/focal. I must admit, I don't usually work with such large beads as the Smoky Quartz, but I've got several ideas swimming around. And I've been going through my stash to see if I want to add anything or just work with her great "Soup". Stay tuned!

Jasper Faceted Clear Quartz Beaded Bracelet-Mom's Jewelry
My mom loves to bead. She makes all kinds of beaded jewelry. She's got beaded eyeglass holders, which to me take WAY too much time to do with all those tiny little seed beads, necklaces, bracelets and more. And she loves Jasper, almost as much as I do. With all that said, I just opened up the section on my Etsy shop, KayzKreationz, entitled "Mom's Jewelry". So far it only has one of her items. I'm hoping to get at least one more item listed tomorrow. The first item of my Mom's is this gorgeous Faceted Jasper and Clear Quartz Beaded Bracelet. It's a pretty little bracelet, measuring 9" long, so it should fit just about anyone. Check it out in my shop. And while you're there, check out my Stained Glass, Glass Mosaics and Fused Glass items for your Home and Garden.
