Purple Baroque Etched Flower Stained Glass Panel-Saturday Blog Shopping
It's that time again. And this week I'm featuring a brand new Stained Glass panel just listed in my shop, KayzKreationz. It is Purple Baroque Glass with an Etched Flower Bevel right in the center of the panel. It ties in with my love for flowers and gardening. And purple is such a royal color. The center has decorative soldering around the Flower Etched Bevel. And the edge is brass ball chain soldered to the edge and then patinad to match the rest of the soldering. If you love flowers, stained glass or just want a unique gift for yourself or a loved one be sure to check this one out.

"Roses" Fused Glass Garden marker-Saturday Blog Shoppers feature
In honor of Spring/Summer, my feature this week for the Saturday Blog Shoppers is my newest listing. It's my "Roses" Fused Glass Garden marker. It's an adorable little pink rose fused glass oval that can be hung from a hook or stake of some kind to mark the roses, either in your garden, or in a pot, if you have one of those miniature roses. The hook that's fused in it has been dressed up a little with a green ribbon to hide the hook. If you love gardening and plants, this is a cute addition to either your garden or your potted plants. You can check it out here or in my shop, KayzKreationz, with the rest of my glass kreationz/creations for your home and garden.
And for some more great handcrafted items check out the other blogs in the Saturday Blog Shoppers group by clicking on the button to the right.
Happy Shopping.

I won a New Banner and Avatar! Help me pick which one.
Woohoo! I got notified the other day I had won a new Banner and Avatar set for my Etsy shop, KayzKreationz from Larue Graphics on Etsy. It's one of his pre-made sets, but he's got some really great designs. In fact, he's got so many I really like, I'm having a hard time deciding on which set I really like. Since none of them will really highlight my glass, I want one that will still kind of stay with my color scheme and the fact that I like gardening, too. Some of these links are not necessarily the color I want, but I intend to ask him if he can change the color if I decide on one that's not the right color. Anyway, since I'm having such a hard time deciding, I'd like for all my readers to check out the links to the ones I'm leaning towards and leave a comment telling me which one you think I should pick and why. I'll leave this open for comments until Friday, May 7th, so hopefully I'll get an overwhelming majority. Thanks for any help/ideas you can give me. Here's the ones I'm leaning towards. Sorry there's so many. Let me know what you think. Thanks, KayzKreationz

What I'd do with a $100 Home Depot gift card
In reading one of the gardening blogs I follow this evening I found out about a $100 gift card for Home Depot giveaway they were sponsoring. All you had to do was go to Home Depot's garden club site, browse all their great DIY projects and go back and comment about what you'd do with that gift card. Problem was, I found LOTS of things I'd do with that gift card. LOL More than my DH would want to help me with, I'm sure. :) But one of the first I would love to be able to do is: planting a vine on an arbor. My oldest son, Jeremy (who loves computer stuff-check out the link to his blog down and to the right) took a stab at welding and built me an arbor a few years ago complete with my initials. I've never been able to get it painted and placed where I want it. So I would love to be able to get that arbor primed and painted, placed by our company parking spot, in a place of honor and covered with either passion flower vines or Texas evergreen Wisteria which smells absolutely gorgeous when in bloom. This would be great in helping me get that done and show him how much I appreciate his effort in helping me make my garden special. So check out the blog and the giveaway.

Getting ready to Garden
Next to my glass, gardening is probably my biggest passion. I love to plant things and watch them grow. I even enjoy just going out and standing there with the water hose and watering them. However, my biggest battle with my garden is "GRASSHOPPERS". I'm still trying to find something that will help me win that battle. As I find things, I'll post more about them.
But this post if mainly about the plants I just got. I've been wanting to try some heirloom tomatoes for a while. And since we're in San Antonio for a few day, I just went to Antique Rose Emporium and found a couple to try. I got "Cherokee Purple", "Brandywine" and a "Black Cherry" cherry tomato to try. One of the other buyers there assured me if I can win the battle of the grasshoppers, my Cherokee Purple tomato will offer up a huge plant that may cause me problems keeping staked and large, tasty tomatoes.
I also got some more Mexican Marigold Mint which can be substituted for Tarragon and has the prettiest little yellow flowers and a great licorice smell, plus some yarrow, poppies, Evergreen Wisteria, Coral Bean Vine, and a Vichenbleu antique Rose. Although I prefer roses that bloom repeatedly or at least a couple of times, this one is gorgeous purple and I just couldn't resist. So I have my work cut out for me when I get home, getting the garden ready to plant and then watching for the last frost to put everything out. Will have to baby them until then.
Plus get my birdfeeders recleaned, my hummingbird feeders out, my birdbath cleaned out again, and the birdhouses checked and recleaned if nothing has moved in yet. And I got a butterfly house from Andrews Reclaimed to put up for the "TONS" of butterflies I'm hoping to attract this year. See you soon.
