Etsy Texas Style Treasury-Blue Fused Glass Strip Plate

Another great treasury!  My Blue Fused Glass Strip Plate is in the Etsy Texas Style Treasury!  This little plate makes a great little serving dish, jewelry holder, candy dish, candle holder.  Whatever you need it can be used for.  It's made of 2 different shades of blue and a light mauve glass.  The edges are beveled, and it's slightly slumped for a shallow dish.  Anyone that loves blue would love this dish.  Be sure to check it out in my Etsy shop, KayzKreationz.  You can also check out the Etsy Texas Style Treasury and give it some love, or find some other great items all made by Texans and in Texas shops.

Saturday Blog Shoppers Deals

Well gang, it's time for another Saturday Blog Shopper Deal.  This week I'm featuring my favorite piece in my shop.  Although blue isn't one of my favorite colors, I love the way this piece turned out.  It was quite a challenge cutting all the narrow little strips of glass, lining them up in the mold, firing them and then getting the fused piece out of the mold.  Then I sandblasted it to get a better finish on it, beveled the edges, and refired it to get a gloss on it again.  Finally it was slumped in another mold to make this romantic Blue Striped Plate you see here.  It would make a great little serving dish, candle holder, jewelry holder as you see in this picture or a myriad other uses.  If you're looking for a special treat for yourself or a great little gift for someone special this is it.  It is a one of a kind.  Enjoy.  And be sure to check out my other great Stained Glass, Mosaic glass and Fused Glass items for your home and garden.  They make great gifts for yourself, friends or loved ones.  They're all in KayzKreationz on Etsy.

There's a movement going on Etsy right now to help support Handmade/Handcrafted items. It's called 30on30. It's very simple. New Etsy Avatar--Blue plate picture redone

After reading for several months about the importance of your avatar for your shop, and posting on several threads and getting some feedback about what would be a good avatar, I've changed my avatar for my Etsy shop. My blue fused glass stripe plate seems to get tons of views and hearts, so I figured it would be the best item for my avatar. I had also read a few threads about how to make your pictures really stand out and to tell a story. So I mulled this over and came up with these ideas for redoing the photos for this plate and then decided to use it for my new avatar for my shop. I like the way the photos turned out. I think they make it a very romantic look and show other uses for this plate. So act quick if you just love this plate or have it hearted. It may sell quickly now. (I hope). And tell me what you think of my new photos and my new avatar. Would it make you click? Does it tell the story? Does it represent what I sell well enough?

Treasury West - 4 x 3 My glass featured!

Yay, I got home last night to find out I'd been featured in a Treasury West! Abbasgirl took 4 artists and featured 3 of their items in her Treasury. She showcased 1 of my fused glass pendants, my Copper and Jasper wire-wrapped pendant and my Blue Glass Stripe plate.
