I like them both, but i think the top one would probably be better. Your name is already at the top, and then to put it right under that just doesn't seem right. But they do look GREAT! Did you design them yourself, or get them done somewhere? I would like to do some buisiness cards.
Shimmermeblue, I designed them myself. Bought an inexpensive little program. It's taking a little bit of learning and fooling around with, but I think it will work.
Thanks
Kayz...my tired eyes are having a hard time seeing print on posted images. But I CAN tell that I like the layout! :) I also like the images w/ color. Very nice.
Stay Warm & safe this blistery night!!!
I like the one on top! No need to re-post your name again. It's clearly posted on the banner at the top. You might lighten the pictures on the side just slightly, but other than that, I really like the cards! Nice job!! ;-)
I, too, prefer the top one. There's no need for you to put the name on a second time. It seems to space better on that one. Great card concept with the pics and you did a wonderful job with your new program.
I prefer the top one, but i think they both look great :D

Hi Kay! I like the first one also. Don't forget to add a phone number so customers can contact you to place that order! - CT
Don't use that scraipt for the whole card. It's hard to read. Use that for the headline and pick something SIMPLE for the body of the card. align everything right or left instead of centered. Center is always the weakest alignment. This post on my blog might help you out.

I like the top one better. It's a little simpler to read.
I agree about changing the script on the bottom...make it an easier font like "times" or "comic sans" or "arial" (don't know if I spelled that right but you get the idea)
I recently made my own business cards also. I'll have to post a pic of them soon. :)

Thanks SolSisters, off to read your post and make some changes.
And thanks everyone else for your input and ideas.
Your layout is nice on both cards. The photos could use a tweak to lighten the exposure and make the items look their best. Your font is a bit busy for as much text as you've included--it's a lot to look at all at once. Consider making your business name the largest, boldest part of the text and use the 'handwriting' font. For the tag line, web urls, etc, you could try a simpler font, no bold/italic, and bump the font size down a few notches.
I need to get on it and design new cards for my shop/blog, too! :-D
