Artfire Shop Closing

Yesterday I got an e-mail from Artfire that they're shutting down all their Basic shops and owners.  If we want to continue on Artfire, we HAVE to upgrade to Pro.  Now, I've been with them since the beginning back in 2008.  I started as Basic to see what they offered different from Etsy and how it would go.  I've promoted, checked in, etc.  But NADA.  I've never gotten one sale from my Artfire shop.  I had one custom request from a seller on Etsy who was moving to Artfire and wanted to make the piece through Artfire so I would get some feedback.  But that's it.  I like having my Artfire shop as another venue.  But without having any sales from it, I can't justify paying for it each month.  At least with my Etsy shop, if I don't make a sale it doesn't cost me.  So before Artfire closes down all Basic shops August 15th, I'm offering 10% off any item in my Artfire shop, KayzKreationz.  I don't have much listed there now, since it will be closing, but I do have a few thing for your Home and Garden.  Plus a great Fused Glass Purse holder so you don't have to let your purse sit on the floor.  And for those SOBE enthusiasts, I have one last SOBE fused glass bottle candle holder/candy dish/ wall art.  They don't make glass SOBE bottles anymore, so this will be one of the last.  Thanks for looking.  If you find something you want, please contact me first so I can adjust the price for you or send you a revised invoice.  I will still have my Etsy shop, KayzKreationz so you will be able to find great Fused Glass, Stained Glass, Mosiac Glass Kreationz for your Home and Garden.  Happy Shopping.

Thanks Pretty Things. I still have my Etsy shop and have opened a Zibbet shop, just haven't done much with it yet. I'll probably move my Artfire things over to Zibbet and see how that goes.

Yes, it is a real shame about that but I guess it was a business decision they had to make.

Thanks for stopping by my blog. My shop is not new, i have sold on RubyLane since 2004 and like their site. Yes, it is pricey, but I like what I get in return, so I plan to keep it going. My dream someday is to turn this into a full time job. Sorry to hear about Artfire, but glad to hear that Etsy is working for you. Times are tough out there and I think we are all getting a dose of it in our sales. I will send you via email a 15% off coupon to Artbeads.com, should you see something there you abosolutely need. They sent it to me to share... Happy weekend!

take the time to set up your Zibbet shop! Their basic accounts are still free, totally free. Not like Etsy's listing fees and sales fees, the only fee for Zibbet basic is not Zibbet fee, but Paypal's fees.
You will love it - see you there.

Thanks Regina and Raige. Raige I set up a shop on Zibbet, but haven't done much with it yet. So I'll be using their Artfire importer to import my Artfire things and see how it goes and possibly upgrading. Regina, I've never seen Ruby Lane. Will look at it. I'll be watching for the coupon.

Thanks for sharing your feedback about Artfire. And I'd not heard of Zibbet. Will have to check it out.
