WooHoo-"Ocean Meets the Sky" sold

I'm always excited when I make a sale in my Etsy shop, KayzKreationz. (I have an Artfire shop also, but no sales there yet. KayzKreationz there also.) But at the same time, I'm always a little sad. I love everything I make with my glass and always feel like a little part of me is leaving when I ship something out. But it always makes me feel good to think that someone else loved my glass enough, too, that they just couldn't live without it. So with a sad, but happy at the same time, I big a fond farewell to this adorable little suncatcher. I hope you enjoy your new home. And I hope your new owner enjoys you as much as I enjoyed making you. Sooo, in the words of this great song, "So long, farewell, Auf Wiedersehen, Good-night (good-bye)" Adieu little "Ocean Meets the Sky" fused glass and seashell Suncatcher.
And if you're looking for something unique for yourself, a loved one or friend, be sure to check out either one of my shops, KayzKreationz on Etsy or KayzKreationz on Artfire, for Stained Glass, Mosaics and Fused Glass items for your home or garden.  And if you want to know what's new and happening with me, my blog, my glass or my shops, you can follow me on twitter: KayzKreationz or sign up for my newsletter on the left.

Just some Funnies

I'm usually posting about my glass work, my plants, gardening, other Etsy shops, our Saturday Blog Shopping and other things.  But this morning someone sent me an e-mail with some funny (and interesting) things to think about.  So I thought I'd post them here for you to enjoy.

Weird & funny things to really think about!!!!!!!!  So ooooooo Think away!!!!!!!!   Here goes.....

1. Can you cry under water?
2. How important does a person have to be before they are considered assassinated instead of just murdered?
3. Why do you have to "put your two cents in".. . but it's only a "penny for your thoughts"? Where's that extra penny going to?
4. Once you're in heaven, do you get stuck wearing the clothes you were buried in for eternity?
5. Why does a round pizza come in a square box?
6. What disease did cured ham actually have? Hum mmmmm!!!
7. How is it that we put man on the moon before we figured out it would be a good idea to put wheels on luggage?
8. Why is it that people say they "slept like a baby" when babies wake up like every two hours?
9. If a deaf person has to go to court, is it still called a hearing?
10. Why are you IN a movie, but you're ON TV?
11. Why do people pay to go up tall buildings and then put money in binoculars to look at things on the ground?
12. Why do doctors leave the room while you change? They're going to see you naked anyway.
13. Why do toasters always have a setting that burns the toast to a horrible crisp, which no decent human being would eat?
14. If Jimmy cracks corn and no one cares, why is there a stupid song about him?
15. Can a hearse carrying a corpse drive in the carpool lane?
16. If the professor on Gilligan's Island can make a radio out of a coconut, why can't he fix a hole in a boat?
17. Why does Goofy stand erect while Pluto remains on all fours? They're both dogs!
18. If Wiley E. Coyote had enough money to buy all that ACME crap, why didn't he just buy dinner?
19. If corn oil is made from corn, and vegetable oil is made from vegetables, what is baby oil made from?
20. If electricity comes from electrons, does morality come from morons?
21. Do the Alphabet song and Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star have the same tune?
22. Why did you just try singing the two songs above?  You know you tried IT !!
23. Did you ever notice that when you blow in a dog's face, he gets mad at you, but when you take him for a car ride; he sticks his head out the window? Maybe your breath stinks.....
24. Do you ever wonder why you gave me your e-mail address in the first place ?

I hope you enjoyed these.  :)

Saturday Blog Shoppers Deals

Well gang, it's time for another Saturday Blog Shopper Deal.  This week I'm featuring my favorite piece in my shop.  Although blue isn't one of my favorite colors, I love the way this piece turned out.  It was quite a challenge cutting all the narrow little strips of glass, lining them up in the mold, firing them and then getting the fused piece out of the mold.  Then I sandblasted it to get a better finish on it, beveled the edges, and refired it to get a gloss on it again.  Finally it was slumped in another mold to make this romantic Blue Striped Plate you see here.  It would make a great little serving dish, candle holder, jewelry holder as you see in this picture or a myriad other uses.  If you're looking for a special treat for yourself or a great little gift for someone special this is it.  It is a one of a kind.  Enjoy.  And be sure to check out my other great Stained Glass, Mosaic glass and Fused Glass items for your home and garden.  They make great gifts for yourself, friends or loved ones.  They're all in KayzKreationz on Etsy.

Saturday Blog Shoppers Deals-Mom's Jewelry

Well I was hoping to get another one of my Mom's bead pieces listed before today, but it hasn't happened yet. Hopefully a little later today. Anyway, my Mom loves beading but doesn't understand computers and how to list things for sale, so I've opened a section in my Etsy shop KayzKreationz, entitled "Mom's Beaded Jewelry". So for this Saturday Blog Shoppers post and offering, I'm featuring the first piece of my Mom's jewelry with this Jasper Bead bracelet. We both love jasper so this one is really special to me. Practically everytime I see some beads I like, I can pretty well guarantee they'll be Jasper of some kind. She couldn't remember which Jasper this is, but I love the color in it. So check it out in my shop and hopefully I'll have another piece or two listed by this afternoon. Here's a sample of another of her pieces that will be listed soon.  Keep checking back for more of her great beaded pieces, whether they be necklaces, bracelets, earrings, pendants, eyeglass chains or more.  You'll love her work.  Thanks for looking.

Jasper Faceted Clear Quartz Beaded Bracelet-Mom's Jewelry

My mom loves to bead.  She makes all kinds of beaded jewelry.  She's got beaded eyeglass holders, which to me take WAY too much time to do with all those tiny little seed beads, necklaces, bracelets and more.  And she loves Jasper, almost as much as I do.  With all that said, I just opened up the section on my Etsy shop, KayzKreationz, entitled "Mom's Jewelry".  So far it only has one of her items.  I'm hoping to get at least one more item listed tomorrow.  The first item of my Mom's is this gorgeous Faceted Jasper and Clear Quartz Beaded Bracelet.  It's a pretty little bracelet, measuring 9" long, so it should fit just about anyone.  Check it out in my shop. And while you're there, check out my Stained Glass, Glass Mosaics and Fused Glass items for your Home and Garden.

Saturday Blog Shoppers Deals-Ocean Meets the Sky Fused Glass suncatcher

It's that time again. Time for the Saturday Blog Shoppers Deals. These are so fun. I haven't had a sale from them yet, but it's great checking out what all the different blogs/shops have featured each week. This week, going along with my Beach Getaway theme from last week (and since I got to spend an hour or two at the beach yesterday, I'm featuring my Ocean Meets the Sky Fused Glass and Macrame Seashell Suncatcher. I love my glass, but I also love walking along the beach looking for seashells. However, sooner or later you end up with too many seashells. What to do with all of them? Put them in a macrame hanger for a cute little fused glass pot melt suncatcher you just made. I love the different looks/swirls you get when you do a pot melt. When this one came out it reminded me of clouds in the sky. Then when trying to figure out whether to cut it up or not a friend says why don't you make a suncatcher out of it. But then I needed to try to figure out how to hand it. So why not incorporate macrame, which I used to do all the time when I was a teenager and my extensive little seashell collection to make a hanger. VIOLA! "Ocean Meets the Sky" suncatcher. I hope you like it as well as I do. It makes a nice little hanger for your window or could even be hung from your car/truck rearview mirror. See how many other uses you could think of for it in your home. It's at KayzKreationz. Hurry, it's the only one.

Texas, Wine, Glass and my Wine Bottle Serving Tray Treasury

I'm a little late with this, but my Recycled Wine Bottle Fused Glass Serving Tray is featured in this Treasury! Check it out. I was so excited to get the convo and see this. Here's the link to the Treasury and here's a quick pic of it. It's so nice to get a convo saying one of your items has been picked for a treasury. It makes you feel like "Wow, someone really likes my work!" And I've made several sales the last month so that makes it even better. Thanks all. KayzKreationz
